A New Boston man, 42-year-old Dale Robert Woodsmall, is scheduled to go on trial on November 25th for drug induced homicide and methamphetamine delivery charges. Woodsmall was arrested in late July following a suspicious death investigation near Seaton that had been ongoing since May. He is currently being held in custody at the Mercer County Jail. A final pre-trial is set for October 7th.
The investigation into the suspicious death involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Illinois State Police, Mercer County State’s Attorney’s office, Mercer County Coroner Greg Larson, the Peoria County Coroner’s office, and the Aledo Police Department.
