An 18-month-old girl from Newark has tragically passed away due to injuries sustained in what appears to be a pit bull attack, as reported by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to officials, the tragic incident took place on Tuesday evening in Newark. While the investigation is still ongoing, it has been confirmed that the child’s death was a result of a dog attack.
According to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelly, the investigation is still ongoing, and an autopsy will determine the official cause and manner of death.
