The Muscatine Police Department has made several arrests of juveniles concerning numerous incidents of vandalism in Muscatine, IA.
Multiple juveniles vandalized at least four locations in Muscatine during the late evening and early morning hours of July 28th, 29th, and 30th, as stated in a news release.
Windows were broken at several locations in the neighborhood. The YMCA at 1823 Logan Street, ProSkin Aesthetics and Wellness at 171 Colorado Street, a vehicle parked in the alley in the 1100 block of Hershey Avenue, and a window at 1210 Hershey Avenue were all targets of rock-throwing incidents.
The total cost incurred exceeded $36,000.
Three individuals under the age of 18 have been arrested and charged with 1st Degree Criminal Mischief in connection to the vandalism incident that occurred at the local YMCA.
Two individuals under the age of 18 have been accused of committing 1st degree criminal mischief in relation to the vandalism incident at ProSkin Aesthetics. The authorities have managed to apprehend one of the accused, while the arrest of the second individual is still pending.
A single juvenile has been charged with 3rd-degree criminal mischief for damaging the apartment window, while two other juveniles have been charged with 3rd degree criminal mischief for damaging the vehicle. Additionally, one arrest is pending concerning this incident.
