The popular icy dessert, available in Illinois and specifically in Chicago, is now subject to an urgent safety recall by the Food and Drug Administration. The FDA was alerted to the situation when an allergen-sensitive consumer reported feeling discomfort after consuming the product. According to the FDA bulletin, the recall includes the complete range of ice pops, but the specific lines that are suspected of contamination are identified by their lot numbers – 68/2 and 69/1 – and expiration dates – 5/28/2026 and 5/30/2026).
