The man’s disappearance remains a mystery as search and rescue teams have been tirelessly combing the area since the early hours of this morning.
Search crews are currently searching for a 46-year-old man who was last seen at the Black Hawk State Historic Site in Rock Island, Illinois.
According to a spokesperson from the Illinois DNR Conservation Police, the duration of the man’s disappearance is currently unknown. However, QC Search and Rescue have been actively looking for him since the morning of Friday, August 30th.
The man was last seen at the park, a sprawling 200-acre area with scenic trails that wind through forests and alongside the Rock River.
Several search crews have been present at the scene since this morning, including the Illinois DNR Conservation Police, QC Search and Rescue, Mercer County Search and Rescue, and the Rock Island Fire Department. The Rock Island Fire Department had a boat deployed to search the river.
According to the Conservation Police spokesperson, they are currently withholding the description and any additional information about the man as they continue their investigation.
