According to the NYPD, a woman was allegedly raped by a man in Mott Haven, The Bronx on Monday.
Authorities reported that in Mott Haven around 1 a.m., a 35-year-old woman was walking when she was approached by a suspect who asked her for directions near Bergen Avenue and East 149th Street.
The medical professionals transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln for further treatment.
According to reports, the individual is approximately 6 feet in height. He was spotted donning a black shirt with a vibrant, multicolored pattern on the front, along with black pants and shoes. Additionally, he was seen carrying a backpack with a dark hue.
The investigation into the incident is being carried out by the Bronx Special Victims Squad.
