A pregnant woman was hurt in a two-car accident in Newark’s West Ward on Saturday afternoon, but her injuries are not life-threatening. Fritz Fragé, the director of public safety, said that at 3:41 p.m., Newark Police were called to the corner of Littleton Avenue and South Orange Avenue for a crash.
When police arrived, they found a car being driven by a pregnant woman. The woman was taken to University Hospital to be checked out. The second driver stayed at the scene of the accident and later went to University Hospital to be checked out as well.
Director Fragé said that both people are said to be in stable health. The event is being looked into right now.
