The New Orleans Police Department reports that a man was shot and murdered on Wednesday morning in the Marigny-Bywater neighborhood.
At 7:23 a.m., police responded to a complaint in the 2700 block of Decatur Street and discovered a man who had sustained at least one gunshot wound. At the spot, he was pronounced deceased.
In the center of the block, New Orleans cops were observed entering and leaving a residence. Across the street is NOCCA’s back side.
There was also the coroner’s van at the scene.
There was no more information known at the time, including a suspected motive or suspect. Investigations into the shooting are still ongoing.
