A fourteen-year-old girl who has been missing since May has been located by New Orleans police.
Kristhal Chinchilla-Canizales was discovered in Jefferson Parish on Thursday, according to the NOPD.
In May, Chinchilla-Canizales vanished while visiting a museum.
On May 22, while she was visiting a museum in downtown New Orleans, investigators said she was being trafficked. They expressed concern for her safety.
Chinchilla-Canizales was sent for a medical examination and was deemed safe, according to confirmation from the U.S. Marshals.
She was discovered at a residence in Metairie’s 1330 block of South Dilton Street.
The U.S. Marshals reported that no evidence of human tracking was found during the inquiry.
