Police have reported that the body of an Iowa man who disappeared in January has been discovered in an Arkansas lake, nearly 600 miles distant. According to a news release issued by the Winterset Police Department on August 6, the Howard County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas was notified of a vehicle that had been discovered submerged in Gillham Lake on August 4.

According to the police, a dive team helped the authorities recover 25-year-old Joshua Graham-Caskey body from a Ford Taurus. According to authorities, Graham-Caskey was reported missing on January 18 after he made a 911 call to the local Iowa sheriff’s office.

License plate readers, financial transactions, and business surveillance footage were employed by Iowa authorities to verify that he traveled south through Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. According to law enforcement, his most recent known location was a filling station in Mena, Arkansas, on January 19.

Authorities reported that Graham-Caskey’s vehicle was discovered approximately 30 minutes south of Mena. According to the sheriff’s office, there is no indication of criminal activity. From Winterset, Iowa, Gillham Lake is a 590-mile drive to the south.
