On Sunday, angry protesters targeted Jennifer Aniston by throwing oil at her.
While shooting for her show, “The Morning Show,” in New York, the famous actress from Friends got covered in a black substance.
Jennifer found herself amid a crowd as the oil spilled over her chic outfit, all while the cameras rolled to capture the moment. The angry crowds behind her were chanting loudly with their picket boards, and she appeared to be fuming with anger.
The reason behind their protest wasn’t immediately clear, but all will be unveiled when the new season airs on Apple. In a recent news headline, Jennifer defended Vice President Kamala Harris against Senator J.D. Vance’s derogatory comment of calling her a “childless cat lady” in an old interview.
Jennifer expressed her outrage on Instagram, criticizing the senator’s statement with disbelief. “I am genuinely surprised that a potential Vice President of the United States would say something like this,” she wrote.
On July 15, Donald Trump announced that the Ohio senator would be joining him as his running mate.
Jennifer responded, “I can only hope that Mr. Vance’s daughter has the opportunity to experience the joy of bearing children naturally. It’s unfortunate that Mr. Vance is attempting to take away that option through his actions against IVF.”
When he made the statement, the senator expressed that those without children hold the power over the future of the Democratic party. He questioned the reasoning behind giving control to those who don’t have a personal investment in the country.
In 2016, Jennifer wrote a candid article for The Huffington Post, where she openly discussed her struggles with fertility and addressed the public’s interest in her personal life.
In her statement, she expressed her stance on the matter, “This is where I stand regarding the topic,” she penned. “We are whole and fulfilled with or without a partner, with or without offspring. It is entirely up to us to determine what we deem as beautiful in regards to our physical appearance. The power to make this decision lies solely within us.”
In her interview with Allure, she opened up about her difficult experience with IVF, stating, “The baby-making road was definitely a challenging journey for me.”
“In my late thirties and forties, I faced some really tough situations that I had to overcome. Looking back, I realize that if it weren’t for those challenges, I would not have become the person I was destined to be today. During that time, I was also trying to conceive a child.”
In her own words, she persevered through her struggles with fertility by trying everything she could think of, from undergoing IVF treatment to experimenting with different Chinese teas. She left no stone unturned in her quest to become pregnant.
“I wish someone had told me to freeze my eggs and do myself a favor. It’s not something you think about at the time, but now I realize the ship has sailed,” lamented the speaker.
Jennifer expressed that she has no regrets regarding her decision. In fact, she shared that she feels a sense of relief now that she no longer has to constantly ponder whether or not to pursue something. She stated, “There is no more ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”
