An Altus woman, who was reported missing by Altus Police on Saturday, has been located in Galveston and is now safe.
Elizabeth Lee was reported missing by her family shortly after she filed a protective order against her husband Jeremy Bearden, as stated by the Altus Police Department.
She was discovered with Bearden on Sunday, September 1, west of Galveston, Texas, according to officials.
She had disappeared on August 20th.
Bearden has pending charges in Texas and will be extradited to Oklahoma after dealing with the new charges, according to authorities.
Bearden has a warrant out of Altus for charges that include stalking and malicious injury to property.
Altus Police expressed their gratitude to the community through a social media post, acknowledging their support and the valuable tips provided for Lee’s safe return.
