Montgomery firefighters have successfully brought a Wednesday morning fire under control, according to sources.
At approximately 8 a.m., fire and rescue crews from Montgomery responded to a commercial building located in the 2000 block of Upper Wetumpka Road.
More firefighters and equipment were summoned to control the blaze, as it was massive and generated intense heat.
According to Assistant Fire Chief Stanley L. Cooper, over 40 MFR personnel were dispatched to the scene. The fire was eventually contained after approximately two and a half hours of intense effort.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported and authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
