Around 12:30 a.m., the police received a report of shots fired with a victim in the 100 block of W River Drive.
Davenport, Iowa – The victim in this case has been identified as 23-year-old Mason Payne from Moline, according to Davenport police officials.
A shooting incident took place in downtown Davenport shortly after midnight on Saturday, Aug. 24, resulting in the unfortunate death of one individual.
Davenport Police, Fire, and Medic EMS swiftly arrived at the parking lot in the 100 block of W River Drive around 12:24 a.m. in response to a distress call reporting “shots fired with a victim.” This incident occurred in close proximity to the Davenport Skybridge.
Upon the officers’ arrival, they discovered an adult male who had suffered from apparent gunshot wounds and sadly did not survive his injuries.
