The Montgomery police department is currently investigating a hit-and-run collision that involved two vehicles and resulted in the death of one person, as well as injuries to two others.
According to the police, a call was made to them at approximately 1:37 am this morning concerning an incident in the vicinity of the Midtown YMCA, specifically in the 3500 block of Carter Hill Road.
In the area, authorities discovered a Dodge Charger, and unfortunately, the driver, identified as 23-year-old Jamauri Tyler from Montgomery, was found deceased. His two companions were transported to a hospital with injuries that are thought to be non-life-threatening.
According to the police, the driver of the second vehicle had fled the scene before the arrival of the officers.
