Four years ago, a woman shot her husband several times while he was at work in Auburn. Recently, she was convicted of attempted murder in Lee County, Alabama.
A jury heard the case last week, according to a Friday release from the Lee County District Attorney’s Office.
According to officials, Mary Williams appeared at her husband’s workplace and fired at him in front of several colleagues. The incident took place on August 28, 2020, at a business located in the 100 block of Alabama Street.
Based on witness accounts, forensic analysis, and other evidence, the district attorney’s office claimed that jealousy was the shooting’s motivating factor.
The date for Williams’ sentencing has not been released yet.
