Two cousins have been arrested following a bizarre incident outside a police precinct in New York City. The incident involved a possible pipe bomb and a machete.

As Peter Gerber’s photograph depicts, police investigators are present at the site of a tragic murder-suicide that occurred near Gracie Mansion, the home of mayor Eric Adams.

A schoolteacher and a former track and field coach at Fordham University, who graduated in 2001, has been identified as the victim of a tragic murder-suicide incident in New York City’s Upper East Side.

At the location, just a block away from Mayor Eric Adams’ residence at Gracie Mansion, police discovered two pistols. One of the firearms was dropped by Leigh after she shot herself, while the second was found in a tote bag by the authorities.

On Friday, July 26, 2024, a murder-suicide occurred on New York City’s Upper East Side. As per reports, a woman was fatally shot by her former mother-in-law, who subsequently ended her own life as well. Police investigators were present at the scene to gather evidence. The photograph captured by Peter Gerber depicts the unsettling aftermath of the tragic incident.

A deceased individual was discovered wrapped in a sleeping bag on a sidewalk in New York City.

During a morning news briefing, the police stated that there was a history of domestic disputes between Galloway and the person who killed her. It is believed that these disputes were related to custody arrangements for their 4-year-old.

Despite filing five reports and two complaints with the NYPD, she was not able to secure any arrests.

Kenny Leigh, the father of the 4-year-old, is Leigh’s son.

According to authorities, the culprit was a former probation officer who resided on North Park Avenue in Chicago before moving to New York City about three years ago.

The paramedics urgently took Galloway to the hospital, but unfortunately, she couldn’t survive her injuries.

As a volunteer, Galloway returned to her alma mater, where she had previously been a college athlete.

According to a spokesperson from Fordham University, the school community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Marisa Galloway. Marisa was an alumna of Fordham and had served as a volunteer assistant coach for the school’s track and field team for 17 years until 2019.

According to the school, Galloway completed his bachelor’s degree in arts from Fordham College at Rose Hill back in 2001. Four years later, he pursued a master’s degree in science from the Fordham Graduate School of Education.

According to the statement, Marissa was a high jumper for the Rams during her time at Fordham. She also participated in sprints and relay teams throughout her career. In her senior season back in 2001, she placed third in the high jump at the Metropolitan Championships. The statement concluded by expressing their heartfelt condolences and keeping Marissa and her loved ones in their thoughts and prayers.
