This afternoon, a multi-vehicle accident on the Garden State Parkway has prompted emergency personnel to respond in great numbers.
At around 4:30 PM, the accident occurred in the southbound area of exit 123.
TLS has received preliminary reports indicating that the accident may have involved as many as 10 vehicles, with two of them being overturned.
Reports have also emerged regarding ejections. Reports of severe injuries are emerging. A declaration of MCI has been made. RWJ has confirmed that 11 individuals were injured in the incident, with three being in critical condition. All patients have been transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Anticipate significant traffic congestion on the parkway, resulting in considerable delays. This is a developing story.
