Hollywood, Florida – Authorities confirmed that a body was discovered Thursday morning along Hollywood Beach’s shoreline.
Just after 7 a.m., Sky 10 was above the 2300 block of South Broadwalk, where the victim’s corpse was covered with a tarp.
Following the discovery of a woman’s death on Hollywood Beach, police investigate several scenes. There were several police policemen in the vicinity of the body.
“A resident jogging on the beach came into contact with the victim, who was lying face down on the sand near the shoreline,” said Hollywood police spokesperson Dany De Andrade.
De Andrade attested to the victim’s advanced age as a white man. About six in the morning, she added, his body was discovered. At the site, fire rescue personnel declared him deceased.
The Medical Examiner’s Office removed the body from the scene, according to De Andrade.
Even though no foul play is suspected, detectives are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
