Two off-duty police officers, one in Brooklyn and one in the Bronx, were arrested Wednesday morning for various offenses. At 3 a.m., Darleen Barbier, 37, was arrested and charged with assault and criminal mischief within the 63rd Precinct, which includes the East Midwood and Flatlands areas. According to 50-a.org, a website of the NYC Civilian Complaint Review Board and NYPD data, Barbier, a female officer, joined the NYPD in 2009.
An off-duty NYPD police officer, Xiomara Goodsell, 32, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. within the 41st Precinct of the Bronx. She has been charged with DWI and refusal to take a blood test. According to PIX11, Goodsell crashed into a parked car and displayed signs of impairment such as slurred speech and the smell of alcohol. She has been serving as an officer since 2017.
