Four individuals have been apprehended, and law enforcement is actively seeking assistance from the public in locating a fifth suspect involved in the burglary and extensive vandalism of a residence in LaPlace.
Detectives from the St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a home invasion and burglary that took place at around 11:15 p.m. on Monday, August 19. According to a report by a husband and wife, five individuals forcibly entered their residence and stole their belongings.
According to deputies, a group of masked individuals, dressed in all black, broke into the home and proceeded to ransack the premises. During their unlawful entry, they managed to steal a number of valuable items.
According to reports, a 55-year-old man was hit in the head and needed medical treatment. Thankfully, his 50-year-old wife remained unharmed.
The authorities have apprehended and pressed charges against four suspects for committing one count of aggravated burglary.

The individuals are presently detained on a $100,000 bond.
Authorities are still searching for Rashaad Roberson of Edgard, who is believed to be involved in the incident. He should be considered armed and dangerous. According to reports, he was last spotted in the Westbank area of St. John Parish on Friday, Aug. 23.
