A fatal crash in Muscatine on Friday night has claimed the life of one person.
The crash occurred around 6 p.m. on Friday, August 23 in Muscatine, as stated in an Iowa State Patrol crash report. Investigators found that a 2024 Nissan Rogue was heading south on Taylor Avenue and failed to stop at a stop sign before entering Highway 61. At the same time, a 2021 Dodge Durango was traveling south on the highway and was unable to stop in time, resulting in a collision with the Rogue.
A fatal accident claimed the life of one person, while two others sustained injuries, one of whom was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, as of 10 p.m. on Friday night, there is no additional information regarding the current condition of the injured individuals.
The authorities are currently withholding the names of the victims as they notify their respective family members.
