The Iowa Transportation Commission has given its approval for funding three airports in southwest Iowa as part of the State Aviation Program for the fiscal year 2025.
The Carroll Arthur N Neu Airport has received a grant of $13,491 to fund the repair of its taxiway. The total cost of the project is $17,988.
The Creston Municipal Airport received a funding of $55,250 to mitigate obstructions. The overall project cost amounts to $65,000.
The Denison Municipal Airport has received a funding allocation of $33,500 to facilitate the removal of underground storage tanks. This project, with a total cost of $67,000, aims to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the airport.
The State Aviation Program aims to enhance local and federal funding sources in order to ensure the continued safety and efficiency of our state’s air transportation system.
