Irish faces charges for criminal possession of a weapon, concealing a human corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.
According to court records, prosecutors have revealed that Irish was seen leaving his apartment at around 5:15 a.m. on July 5, carrying a blue sleeping bag on a dolly. Surveillance video footage allegedly shows the defendant using a wheelchair to transport Williams’ body to the location on East 27th Street where she was later discovered deceased.
Afterwards, Irish returned to his apartment in the Straus Houses, according to authorities.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg expressed his condemnation of Chad Irish, stating that he ended the life of Yazmeen Williams in a horrific incident.
