Early Monday morning, a police chase spanning multiple cities in Kansas resulted in one person being taken into custody while at least two or three others remained at large. The pursuit was intense and ended with the successful capture of one suspect.
On Monday, August 5, a police chase commenced in Tonganoxie during the early morning hours.
Leavenworth Sheriff’s officers in Basehor spotted the vehicle shortly after.
The chase eventually made its way to Kansas City, Kansas, where it came to a halt on 78th Street, located two miles south of Kansas City, Kansas Community College. Law enforcement officials managed to apprehend one individual, while several others remained at large.
A K9 and multiple officers are currently scouring the area to apprehend those who fled the scene.
According to the Leavenworth County Sheriff’s Office, they are pressing charges for not only the pursuit but also for assault against law enforcement due to driving towards police vehicles.
